St Hilda’s College invites applications for a Career Development Fellowship in Comparative Politics for 4 years from 1 July 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The postholder will be required to engage in research, to offer an average of 6.5 hours per week tutorial teaching for the college in the field of comparative politics, and to play a central role in Politics and joint degree admissions and subject administration at St Hilda’s. Applicants will have completed a doctorate but be at an early stage of their academic career, and should have some relevant teaching experience. There is no possibility of renewal beyond four years.
The appointee will be paid on a scale from £32,817 to £35,845 p.a. (University Grade 7, current rates), depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive a research allowance of £1,800 p.a. and access to a student entertainment allowance of £400 p.a. The appointee will be a member of the Senior Common Room, entitled to all meals in St Hilda’s College.
