Lecturer in Classical Languages and Greek Literature

 

Regent's Park College proposes to appoint a part-time Stipendiary Lecturer in Classical Languages and Greek Literature to teach undergraduates for an average of 8 tutorial hours per week in full term. The appointment will be for the period 1 October 2022 until 30 September 2024. The salary is £24,700 FTE (pro-rata for part time).

 

The main duties of the post are to: 

 • In conjunction with the Directors of Studies for Classics and Classics and English, arrange language teaching in Latin and Greek for Mods and Greats for Literae Humaniores students, as appropriate, and to arrange language teaching in Latin and Greek for Prelims and Finals for Classics and English students and Classical Archaeology and Ancient History students, as appropriate; 

• Teach Latin and Greek Languages in Mods and Greats in Literae Humaniores and in Prelims and Finals for Classics and English and Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, as appropriate; 

• To teach Homer for Mods and other Greek literature as relevant for the Mods Texts and Contexts paper;

 • Be part of the pastoral care of students in College and be involved in the personal tutor scheme

 

The closing date for applications is noon Tuesday 26 July 2022 and interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 04 August.
